Who is responsible?
Staydry Roofers Ltd, company number 17459150, is responsible for information collected through this website. Registered office: 64 Alma Street, Luton, England, LU1 2PL. For privacy requests, email info@staydryroofers.co.uk or call 07362 719714.
Information and purposes
Enquiries may include your name, telephone number, email address, property address or postcode, roofing requirements and messages. Chat enquiries can include the conversation, urgency and the page used. The website records IP address, browser information and submission time for enquiry administration and security. Hosting and email systems may keep technical delivery logs.
We use enquiry information to respond, arrange visits and prepare quotations at your request, and to carry out an agreed contract. We use legitimate interests for proportionate security, business records and resolving concerns; relevant legal duties can also require records to be retained. An enquiry does not sign you up for promotional marketing.
AI chat and recipients
Chat messages and conversation history are sent through our server to OpenAI to generate answers. Relevant enquiries may be stored and emailed to the team for follow-up. Do not send payment card details, passwords, medical information or information unrelated to your enquiry. You can use the telephone or contact form instead of AI chat.
Information may be handled by our authorised website, hosting, email and IT service providers, and by advisers where needed to manage a contract or dispute. Selecting WhatsApp takes you to an external service operated by WhatsApp/Meta; its own privacy terms apply to that service.
Processing outside the UK
OpenAI and other service providers may process information outside the UK. International processing requires applicable UK data protection safeguards. Contact us for details of the providers and transfer arrangements applying to your enquiry. OpenAI publishes its data processing terms.
How long information is kept
Retention depends on why the information is needed: handling an enquiry and reasonable follow-up, carrying out agreed work, managing guarantees or complaints, and meeting legal record-keeping or claims requirements. Information no longer needed for those purposes should be deleted or anonymised. Contact us to ask about the retention period applying to your particular record.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where consent is relied on, you can withdraw it. These rights are subject to applicable legal limits; use the contact details above.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. The chatbot does not make decisions that legally bind you or automatically accept roofing work.
